A Clinical Study of Hysterectomy


Abstract
A clinical analysis was made on 63 cases of hysterectomy which were done at the depar¡þtment of obstetrics and gynecology, Chungnam National University Hospital from Jan. 1, 1975 to Dec. 31, 1975.
The results were as follows
1. The incidence of hysterectomy was 88. 8% in the total abdominal hysterectomy and 11. 1% in the vaginal hysterectomy.
2. The age distribution was 27-57 years and the major. group was in 36-50 years of age(68. 1%). The average age of the patients was 41. 5 years.
3. The average of the parity was 4. 0. The patients had experience of artificial abortion in 46%. There were the patients who had the living children less than 2 children, in 26.9%.
4. The pathological findings were chronic cervicitis, myoma, and. adenoiiiyosis in order.
There was higher inside ace of the spontaneous uterine rupture in labor.
5. The complications were found in 6 cases(9. 5%).
6. The average hospital stay after operation was 8. 0 days.
7. The incidence of combined operation of oophorectomy was bilateral oophorectomy in 34.9% and unilateral oophorectomy in 25.3%.
